The Hunter's Enemy:

The Real, Unvarnished Truth about Hunting

I am an animal rights activist and have created this website to inform people of the horrors and cruelty involved in hunting. It is a cowardly and despicable sport and I consider those who participate to be nothing more than heartless killers.

In today's time, hunting is not necessary for survival; there are other means and alternatives to obtain food and survive healthfully. Hunting for sport or a trophy is contemptible. The pain and suffering these animals endure is beyond comprehension, yet hunters have no compassion for the animals. Nor do they have a concept of the fact that they are killing. Killing for the name of sport. Killing to somehow prove their superiority. Hunters have no concept of death and the value of life. They deem animals not as living, breathing creatures who experience pain and suffering, but as mere trophies at the disposal of humans. This is wrong and we must work to change this heartless behavior.

According to world-renowned scientists Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan, "From all criteria available to us -- the recognizable agony in the cries of wounded animals, for example, including those who usually utter hardly a sound -- this question [Do animals suffer?] seems moot. The limbic system in the human brain, known to be responsible for much of the richness of our emotional life, is prominent throughout the mammals. The same drugs that alleviate suffering in humans mitigate the cries and other signs of pain in many other animals. It is unseemly of us, who often behave so unfeelingly toward other animals, to contend that only humans can suffer."

The following pages will offer statistics and facts on the cruelty of hunting, as well as information.

While this website is primarily dedicated to anti-hunting, I am just as intently interested in all aspects of animal rights and issues. There is a message board, which can be accessed through the Forum link at the top of this page dedicated to non-hunting animal rights issues. Every aspect of animal cruelty and violence should be addressed equally. Do what you can, in any way you can, be it through letters, e-mails, phone calls, organized protests, or simply being a vegetarian or semi-vegetarian. Every little thing makes a difference.

For the animals,

The Truth
